Second Display Completes for Leeds University

Following the completion of a display on the life and work of Sir William Henry Bragg earlier this year, Redman Design have now completed a second display for Leeds University, this time for Classics in the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies. The display showcases two Roman inscriptions with new graphic interpretation and lighting that accentuates the relief carving on the stones.

Brunel Reinvented

The Brunel Museum Secures NLHF Funding

The Brunel Museum Reinvented project has secured £1.85m funding from the NLHF to allow a range of improvements that will include the display of 30 watercolours from the Thames Tunnel Archive for the first time. Redman Design has been working closely with architects Tate Harmer to create new visitor experiences as part of the reinvented project.

Bad Bridget opens at Ulster American Folk Park

Revealing the untold stories of the hundreds of thousands of young women, who travelled alone to America to escape poverty and hardship in Ireland, only to face new difficulties away from the support of family and home.  

It has been a privilege for our team to be involved in presenting this powerful story that still resonates with the experiences of some migrant women today.

Rochdale Town Hall secures £8.3m NLHF grant

The nationally significant Rochdale Town Hall has been awarded NLHF funding following a successful Round Two bid. The project will restore the building and its historic rooms to their former glory whilst also improving access and adding new facilities. Redman Design have designed exhibition spaces and interpretation that will tell the story of the Town Hall and its connections to the people of Rochdale.

Town hall restoration set to be considered by council planners

The restoration of Rochdale’s grade I listed town hall has taken a major step forward following the submission of a listed building and planning application to the council.


The application outlines vital repair work to the 149-year-old town hall, which is one of the best examples of gothic architecture in the country. As part of the project, Redman Design are creating a permanent exhibition space in the committee rooms on the ground floor.

Our projects have won three of the six Association of Heritage Interpretation 2019 Discover Heritage Awards. Dunfermline Museum and Art Gallery won the ‘Overall Award for Excellence’ as well as ‘Best New Museum display’. The International Bomber Command Centre was awarded ‘Best New Visitor Centre’

The World Turned Upside Down opens

This new gallery for the National Civil War Centre looks at the impact of the English Civil War on everyday people, and society in general, through three themes of Conflict, Chaos & Creativity. The new temporary exhibition ‘Fake News’ explores the use of propaganda and misinformation throughout history.

The £16m restoration of Rochdale’s treasured Grade I listed town hall will bring it back into use for the public and create a world class focus for residents and visitors.
